Alfred Kelsner

When Kelsner was accepted into the team of cover artists for the Perry Rhodan magazine novels at the beginning of 1996, he was no stranger: he had already designed the cover images for the Perry Rhodan paperbacks from number 218 onwards and in 1981 William Voltz published the highly acclaimed book “Zeitsplitter”. With his first cover photo (for volume 1800), Alfred Kelsner immortalized the old master Johnny Bruck, who had recently died. To date, Kelsner has illustrated more than 250 novel titles, as well as around 300 paperbacks, Atlan novels and special editions. “I am particularly interested in the deeper thought, the question of origin, the cosmic background and the high technology,” says Alfred Kelsner about his fascination with the PERRY RHODAN series.
