Ingrid Kallick
Ingrid Kallick, trained in painting and sculpture, is an artist whose interests run through folklore, science, dreams and the mind. After many years of illustrating and doing personal work in fluid acrylic and mixed media on board and paper, she has recently added some ceramic media. This includes flat paintings with sculpted frames, polychrome relief, and polychrome 3D sculpture.
Publications include Spectrum, Communication Arts, Scientific American, the covers of Science, multiple Cricket Magazine covers and children's books. Awards: Firsts in Magazine Illustration from the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in 2012 and 2015; Society of Illustrators Los Angeles Bronze Award in 2015. a Chesley Award for Magazine Cover, 2018, and multiple awards and citations at Boskone, Philcon, Arisia, WisCon, and other cons.
