Lisa Snellings
Lisa Snellings began her art career in 1991 by exhibiting her playful, yet macabre, sculptures at science fiction, fantasy, and horror conventions. In the years that followed, she built a loyal following of collectors and evolved her skills and her unique, artistic perspective. She is perhaps best known for her Poppets – small figurines that mimic “silly humans.” Through Poppets, Lisa distills our stories, handing them back to us in wordless narratives that can hit painfully and delightfully close to home.
On her Patreon, she is creating a Poppet Tarot, and a book project about her own fears and anxieties, called “Night Birds.” She writes there about her artistic life.
She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, their son and three elderly cats.
