Patrick was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and grew up in a place of extreme turmoil. After a stint in the merchant navy, he moved to London where he carved out a long career as an Illustrator. Although still distinctly Irish, he now lives in Australia and proudly teaches figure drawing at the prestigious Queensland University in the city of Brisbane. Patrick is the author of the best-selling book, 'Sci-Fi & Fantasy Oil painting Techniques'. His figure drawing book, 'The Anatomy of Style,' and a coffee table book on his fantasy art were both released in 2016.
