18" x 20", oil on panel. 2013. My art series ALIEN MENAGERIE depicts imaginary beings in a contained environment that is part specimen box, part diorama, and part window into another world. It's informed by my interest in science fictional imagery, but the creatures within are more dream than speculation, individuals of feeling and awareness, and sometimes purpose.
