Fresh out of art school in the 1970s I collabed with a friend to publish our own underground comic book. The magazine-sized Blazing Violence lasted a few issues and its main feature was my vigilante character the Predator, written and drawn by me. This piece was the featured on our first color cover. And yes, I actually painted the titles right into the painting (don't ask me why). NOTE: this one is a bit worse for wear at the top, smudges evident in photo. (FUN FACT: this painting hung for a while in the studio shared by artists Rick Berry and Phil Hale)
