I am thrilled to finally be able to share with you my latest epic canvas from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, a celebration in oil paint and canvas of narrative story telling.

The painting is a continuation of my efforts to evolve a body of work representing various aspects of the stories from these inspiring novels with the utmost integrity for J.R.R. Tolkien's writing. From glimpses of the trolls in the fiery light, to the dynamic leap of the bridge, to the emotional turmoil the Fellowship had between the desire to flee and the need to stay to help their friend, guide and councelor, this painting attempts to bring the wonder and terror of those moments into realization like never before. I even leave it for you to decide the forever literary dilemma - Did the Balrog have wings?!
