Private commission whose objective was to commemorate the resilience of the Ukrainian people. I wanted to represent the horrors of the past (wheat: the holodomor) with the struggles of their current conflict (molotovs) on a background whose simplicity would not detract from the point of the piece. Thus, the flag: yellow for fields sunflowers, blue for ceaseless sky.
