Much of reality is invisible to our biological senses. Across the vast majority of the electromagnetic spectrum, from radio to x-ray, we are totally blind, seeing only 0.0035% of the full range of color in which the universe is spectacularly illuminated. One of the most magical aspects of science is our ability to construct detectors and instruments that can see the unseen. There are energy fields that surround us, penetrate us, and bind the galaxy together. With the right instruments and devices, we can see, direct, and move these forces with precision, toward peaceful and just ends.
