This original oil and 24 karat gold leaf painting was inspired by a reoccurring dream I had every year on pretty much the same day for as long as I could remember. In the first week of June I would dream of it being winter again and when I woke up if I looked outside I would literally see everything as if it were covered in snow! The illusion faded in a minute but I truly believed what I saw for that minute! It stopped somewhere in the 7th year of being with my partner Alex, I realized only then that the reoccurring dream was about anxiety and dread of winter (I grew up in a food insecure household) and that being with Alex meant I finally felt safe. It is wonderful to feel safe and loved!
