The ouroboros is a symbol used in ancient traditions that represents a snake eating its own tail. Referring to the eternal repetition of cycles of creation and destruction it symbolises eternity and the soul of the world. In an era plagued with uncertainty like ours my knotted ouroboros is curling up on itself in pain and contraction just like the the world and its course seem to be doing.
