Jason Hite's largest digital sculpture fully realized in cast urethane resin. This piece was created using modern digital sculpting techniques in a program called Zbrush. Once complete, the sculpture was printed in 8 pieces on a large format 3D SLA printer. Each part was painstakingly reassembled. From there all the seams had to be filled, and removed. The print material is not long lasting, prompting Jason to make a complex matrix mold from the print to create this very durable urethane resin cast. This is the first of only three castings that will be made. Size is 19" x 16" x 10" on a 15" round wood base and copper stand. Total height with stand is about 25" tall.
