IX Gallery is pleased to present a new selection of Thomas Haller Buchanan’s amazing work! Thomas had this to say about THESAURIA:

’Thesauria—a word may be a wisp of beauty’.

“I’ve taken some lovely words from the Thesaurus and created drawings to celebrate them. Some of the words are made up and some have only been coined in the past decade or two, defining concepts that are ineffable, but are outrageously significant.

“Pastels are the medium for all these drawings — pan pastels, pastel chalks and pastel pencils. They have layers of fixative with a final layer of pastel that rides on top.”
