Cover art commissioned by Panther Books in 1976 for first UK edition of 'Other Dimensions' by Clark Ashton Smith. Matthews illustrated both volumes, each containing a collection of macabre stories from the pen of American writer of horror, fantasy and science fiction. The gothic tale 'The Ghoul' was first published in the January 1934 issue of 'The Fantasy Fan'.
