The spark for this one was Red Riding Hood, but Misty’s heroine is a strong German girl who hunts werewolves. This piece is when I stopped painting gold onto my actual artwork, and instead would add in the gold designs digitally. So, the hanging gold wolf insignia is only on the printed covers, and not on the art. I did this because photographing gold paint is difficult to light. There was also a mix up with the printing, where the sketch was used instead of the finished art for the hardcover. The paperback has the correct art on it.
