In the triangle is Jewel’s mentor Rath with a lightstone and the background is of the ancient underground ruins of the magic-built city they explore. I used Christopher Lee as inspiration for Rath. Sheila Gilbert, the editor, and I used to discuss who was going to be in the triangle of the next covers as the series grew longer and longer. Michelle had a lot of stories to tell!
