The Western Wizard, Shadimar, calls forth a vision of Ragnarok and the god Baldur, terrifying the unnamed guy on the spine. But Colbey is of course unfazed and ready for a fight. The author sent me the specific design for the swords Colbey uses, so I made a foam core mock up to help me get those hilt guards right. The cringing extra was inspired by the famous portrait of Eakins’ “The Gross Clinic.”
