Acrylics on board, 8/93, 15 x 23 inches, signed middle right in trees. For the novel by Carolyn Cushman. I think I’ve only done two humorous fantasy covers in my career, and this is one of them. The wombat was fun, and it was nice to get to do a beautiful woman. I think I used the famous model Stephanie Seymour for inspiration. It’s real helpful to use someone in the public eye so I can get different views of their face. I just don’t work too hard at getting a perfect likeness so I can stay out of trouble.
