Always searching for a new angle on a cover, I split this design into two artworks because a spy can’t possibly be near his big white horse companion! This Dallen being menaced by spears is rather striking. It barely shows on the published cover. But that’s okay, DAW Books used it again for one of its Valdemar anthologies.
